Coffee in the morning. Coffee through the day. Coffee in the evening. Coffee has lost one of its biggest fans. Clyde Perkins suddenly left this life on February 23, at his home in River Oaks. Always more talented than most with a wrench and a love for driving that most could not rival, were the trades that Clyde mastered after honorably serving with the United States Marine Corps.

With him throughout what is best described as a full life, was what he knew to be the best little brother ever in Joe Perkins Sr. of Mesquite. Clyde was the natural father to Emily Perkins Hidalgo of Red Oak, Iowa, Otis Perkins Sr. of Denton and Jasen Burke of Lewisville. Adoptive father to Sean Perkins and Shannon Perkins Cole. Clyde will be greatly missed by his canine son, Scooter. The closing chapter of Clyde's life was enjoyed with his favorite short, little, fat girl, Allie Green.
