Virginia E. Norris, 82, of Ashland passed away Friday, March 6, 2015, at Riverside Hospital in Columbus.

The daughter of Leo and Henrietta (née Fisher) Bardy, she was born June 16, 1932, in Ashland.

Virginia had been a resident of Ashland County all of her life, being employed with Ashland City Schools. She was a member of Ashland First United Methodist Church and volunteered with the American Red Cross.

On Nov. 24, 1951, Virginia married Kenneth E. Norris, who preceded her in death June 3, 1996.

She is survived by one son, Kenneth II (Carol) Norris of Columbus and four grandchildren.

Virginia also was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Walter Bardy; and two sisters, Carol and an infant sister.

Service will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2015, at Heyl Funeral Home, 227 Broad St., with Pastor Michael Namy officiating. Interment will be at Ashland Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
