Born in Rohleder (Raskaty) Russia to Heinrich Weber (1799 - 1848) and Susanna Fritz (1807-after 1861). Franz was the only son of this couple to survive into adulthood. He and his family along with his mother and three younger sisters moved to Liebental, Russia in 1859.
Immigrated to the US on the SS Ohio arriving Baltimore, MD on 23 Nov 1875. Passenger List:

The 1798 Rohleder census shows a Peter Weber (1767-1845) married to Katarina Vogel (1768-bef 1834). They had two sons both of whom had descendants that immigrated to the U.S.
