He worked for Sylvania Electric in Emporium, Pa., for 12 years. He retired after 10 years as an aircraft mechanic at March Air Force Base in Calif. Stoney served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Elsie Stone; sister, Beryl Kenyon; and wife, Bettie Jane. Survivors include son, Daniel; sister, Sybal Owens; brother, Elwood (Jean) Stone; and nieces, Marcia Bailey and Janet Bayas.
