Mrs. Nora L. Gossom, 91, Milton, died Saturday at the King's Daughters' Hospital.


She was a native of Milton, and a member of the Milton Baptist Church for 77 years, where she taught a Sunday School class for 50 years.


Survivors include six daughters: Mrs. Norma Grover, Virginia Beach, Va.; Mrs. Stoy Bradley, Mrs. Jeanne Spillman, Mrs. Nonda Alexander, all of Milton; Mrs. Pat Simmons, Carrollton; and Mrs. Elizabeth Obertate, Madison; two sons: Cliff Gossom and James Gossom, both of Milton; one half sister, Mrs. Opal Parker, Madison; one step-sister, Mrs. Elizabeth McCutcheon, Elizabethtown, Ky.; 27 grandchildren, and 42 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cliff Gossom, in 1966; and by one sister, and five brothers.


Services will be at 2 p.m. EDT today at the Milton Baptist Church, with burial in the Moffett Cemetery.


The Wood-Oakley Funeral Home in Milton is in charge of arrangements.
