ABINGDON, Va. Claude Samuel (Sam) Sullivan, age 75, a lifetime resident and retired farmer of Washington County, Va., died on Saturday, March 7, 2015. Mr. Sullivan was born on August 30, 1939, to the late Claude M. and Lillian Wright Sullivan. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, C. Thomas Harvey. Left to cherish his memories are his special friend, Ella Nora Carmony of Abingdon, Va.; sisters, Nancy S. Ray and husband, John, of Knoxville, Tenn., and Anne S. Harvey of Danville, Va.; one nephew, Eric S. Harvey (Kristin); one niece, Amy K. Holtzman (Chris); and great nephews and great nieces. A graveside service for Mr. Sullivan will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2015 at Knollkreg Memorial Park in Abingdon, Va. Visitation with family and friends will be at Frost Funeral Home on Sunday, March 8, 2015 from 6 until 8 p.m. Gifts honoring Sam's memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
