A prominent farmer and citizen, Homer N. Bierly, 83 years old, of R.R. 1, Eaton, passed away Friday evening at the St. Elizabeth hospital in Dayton.
Mr. Bierly was well-known in the area, having been interested in Republican politics over the years, and at one time was a candidate for County Auditing.
Survivors include the wife, Myrta; two daughters, Miss Vivian Bierly at home, and Mrs. John (Virginia) Wolff of Duluth, Minn.; one sister, Mrs. Carl (Elsie) Brower of West Alexandria, and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday at the Kramer and Moeller Funeral Home in Lewisburg, with interment in the Sugar Grove cemetery.

Services for Homer N. Bierly, 83, of 3037 Minnich-Wysong road, were conducted Tuesday afternoon in the Kramer and Moeller funeral home by Revs. Charles Messmer and Samuel Leedy. Burial was in Sugar Grove cemetery.
Mr. Bierly was a widely known farmer of Preble county but had been retired for the last several years.
He is survived by his wife, Myrta; two daughters, Miss Vivian Bierly at home and Mrs. John (Virginia) Bierly of Eaton.
