"The Sabbath Recorder", Vol 34, No 39, p 3, Sep. 26, 1878.

In the town of Hornellsville, N. Y., Sept. 17th, 1878. Mr. Jeremiah Burdick, in the 92d year of his age. The subject of this notice was born, we believe, in Hopkinton, R. I., but moved over fifty years since into this country, where he resided until the time of his death. He was, we believe, a member of the Seventh-day Baptist Church of Hartsville at the time of his death, and had been for many years. He was a man of excellent habits, and has left behind a good name.

He had seven children, all of whom were present at his funeral. He had thirty grandchildren and forty-eight great-grandchildren. Twenty-seven persons had married into his family, making in all one hundred and twelve persons.
