Maxine W. Scott

Maxine W. Scott, a lifelong resident of Lansing, Michigan, died in an assisted care facility in Brighton where she lived the past three years. She was 99 years old. Born on November 20, 1915 in Lansing, Maxine was the daughter of Clarence and Orpha (nee. Bowerman) Reed. She attended Eastern High School, married Wesley V. Dean, who died in 1958. Maxine had worked at Knapp's. She played piano and was an accompanist with the Jimmy Walters School of Dance. In the 1960's, she met and married John Scott. The twice widowed Maxine joined the Plymouth Congregational Church and enjoyed her church family.

Maxine Dean Scott is survived by her son, Jefrey (Susanne) Dean of Milford, by her granddaughters, Angela (Chris) Browning and Debra (David) Boehning, and her great-grandchildren, Chase and Emma Browning and Wesley and Tanner Boehning.
