Billy J. Burch, 52, of Runnells died of a heart ailment Monday at home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hamilton's Funeral Home in Des Moines. Burial will be at Panther Creek Church of the Brethren in Adel.
Mr. Burch was born in Clarinda and moved to Polk County in 1968 from Redfield. He was a counselor at Southeast Polk Community Schools and a member of several professional organizations.
Surviving are his wife, Jean; his parents, Harold and Audrey Burch, and a brother, Ed, all of Braddyville; and a sister, nancy Anderson of Grand Forks, N.D.
Friends may call after noon today at the funeral home, where the family will greet friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Southeast Polk scholarship fund.
