VOIGT – PRESTON W., SR., 62, a native of Chattanooga, died Monday in Cincinnati, Ohio. Born in Chattanooga, Mr. Voigt was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Voigt, pioneer residents of Highland Park. He had lived in Cincinnati for a number of years. He was a member of the Ninth Street Baptist Church in Cincinnati, the Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Preston W. Voigt Sr., Cincinnati; daughter, Mrs. Archie Mogran Jr., Dayton, Tenn.; two sons, Preston W. Voigt Jr., Dayton, Tenn., and Jack W. Voigt, Huntsville, Ala.; sister, Mrs. J. B. Lankford, Chattanooga; a niece, Mrs. W. H. Means, Birmingham, Ala., and six grandchildren. Funeral services were held in Cincinnati Wednesday afternoon. Final services will be held here at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon at the graveside in Forest Hills Cemetery, Dr. Lee Roberson officiating. The body will arrive in Chattanooga at 5 o’clock this afternoon and will be taken to the funeral home of J. Avery Bryan Company.
