Mr Smith was a native of Louisville where he was born August 30, 1865. He was a grandson of the Rev Benjamin Bosworth Smith, first Episcopal bishop of Kentucky. Mr Smith was formerly general council of an insurance company.
He is survived by his wife and one son Samuel Bosworth Smith a member of the local bar."
