Gary Nicholson, 69, of Keansburg, passed away on Monday, March 2nd, 2015, at Leisure Chateau, Lakewood, NJ. He was born in Newark and was a life-long resident of Keansburg. Gary was a graduate of Raritan High School, Hazlet. He served with the United States Navy and worked at Hatco in Perth Amboy as a chemical technician for many years. Gary was his happiest when singing the oldies with his band, showing off his cars at cruise nights and taking care of his family. Gary was pre-deceased by his parents Jack and Margaret Nicholson; his wife Carol Nicholson; his sister Jacqueline Jarius and his nephew John Jarius. Surviving are his brother and brother in-law Bruce Nicholson and Paul Koufmann; his adopted daughters and sons in-law June and Charles Musto and Joyce and Clarence Brownlee; his step children Colleen Donovan and her husband Patrick, Frank Murphy and his wife Tracy and Michael Murphy and his wife Lori; nieces and grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held for Gary on Saturday, March 7th from 2-4PM at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. Cremation was private.
