She was born to Pietro and Maria Eugenia (Ghizolfo) Francolino. She married Harold Francis Taramasso on June 22, 1946 in Oakland, California. She was the mother of Timothy, Daryl, Jay and Joan; all whom survive her. Also surviving is one granddaughter, Amy, daughter of Daryl. (all information is relative to the time of her death)

Eugenia volunteered for the Women's Army Corps (WAC's) in World War II. She was stationed in Des Moines, Iowa. She was promoted to rank of Corporal and was offered the rank of Sergeant if she would stay in after war's end. She declined the promotion and was Honorably Discharged at the end of the war. After moving to Napa, California in 1953, she obtained employment with the Montgomery Ward company as an accounts receivable clerk. She continued her employment with Montgomery Ward up until the time of her death.
