Nancy Suzanne Ladyga-Hawes May 17, 1957 - March 5, 2015 SOUTH BEND - Nancy Suzanne Ladyga-Hawes, 57, of South Bend, IN, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2015, in her home. She was born May 17, 1957, in South Bend, IN, to Robert W. Ladyga, Sr., who preceded Nancy in death, and Mardelle E. (O'Connor) Ladyga of South Bend. Nancy is also survived by her daughter, Ashleigh (Michael) Schneider of Florence, KY; a son, Nicholas (Holly) Hawes of Bloomington, IN; three daughters, Victoria, Jaqulyn and Juliett; two grandchildren, Patrick Henry and Lucy Mae Schneider; two sisters, Christine (Ted) Palicki of Las Vegas and Barbara J. Savely of South Bend; her uncle, Patty O'Connor; aunt, Doris Ladyga; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, special neighbors and friends. Nancy was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert W. "Bobby" Ladyga Jr. and Brian Michael Ladyga. Nancy was a lifelong resident of South Bend. She received her Catholic education at St. Matthew Catholic School and Marian High School. She was a graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington, IN. Nancy formerly was a Probation Officer in Gary, IN, and worked for the Prosecutor's Office in St. Joseph County. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 9, 2015, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 12553 Fir Road, Granger, IN 46530. Friends may call two hours, 9:00 to 11:00 AM, prior to the services at St. Pius Catholic Church on Monday. Thank You to the YWCA, the Center for the Homeless, St. Margaret's House, Oaklawn, Memorial Epworth, and the doctors and organizations that helped Nancy throughout the years.
