Mr. Raymond Sonnier, 73, of Brookhaven, passed away March 7, 2015 at his residence. He was born June 29, 1941 to Willford (Willie) Sonnier and Emma Fruge Sonnier. He was a heavy equipment mechanic.
Mr. Sonnier served his county in the United States Army, and he was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Sidney Sonnier and Lawrence Sonnier; and step son, Steve Brewer.
He is survived by his wife Beverly Sonnier; sons, Kirby Sonnier, Daniel Sonnier, Anson Brewer; daughters, Tina Smith, Debra Brewer Smith, Becky Brewer Barron; brother, Loubert Sonnier; sisters, June Hornung, Diana Bishop, Helen Stein; 16 grandchildren, Nicole Sonnier, Brandon Smith, Meagan Sonnier, Emilee Locklin, Stevi Stein, Kimbra Smith, Bailey Smith, Adam McGuffee, Kristen McGuffee, Kyle James, Jeremy James, Morgan Barron, Sydney Jones, and Will Brewer; and 17 great grandchildren.
