POWELL, Verna - Suddenly on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at C.E.E. Hospital of Bluewater Health, Petrolia. Verna was the loving wife of the Clifford (1977). VERNA POWELL (nee Wightman), 85 years, of Petrolia. She will be deeply missed by her children Lila and Jim Neely of Wyoming, Mary Young of Reeces Corners, Gloria and Frank Riehl of Windsor, Jake and Cindy Powell of Petrolia, Joe and Roxanne Powell of Huron Park, and Betcy and Gary Spinks of Petrolia. Verna was the loving grandmother to forty five grandchildren, fifty nine great grandchildren, and twenty eight great great grandchildren. She will also missed by her sister Alma and Bill Bennell of London and her sister-in-law Thelma Loop of Tupperville. Verna was predeceased by her daughter-in-law Charlotte Powell, her son-in-law Ed Young, her three brothers, and her eight sisters. Visitors will be received on Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the NEEDHAM-JAY FUNERAL HOME , Petrolia where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Pat Milliken officiating.
