Mr. William D. Fountain, 60, of 13 Van Orden Avenue, Spring Valley, N.Y., departed this life on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, N.Y.
He was born in Axton, Va., on June 24, 1954, a son of the late June Valentine and Gladys Fountain Parker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, James T. Parker.
He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Shawn (Terrica) Stockton, of Martinsville, Va.; one daughter, Maria (Troy) Simmons, of Greensboro, N.C.; four sisters, Barbara Fountain and Patricia Parker, of Spring Valley, N.Y.; Virginia Irene Harding, of Greensboro, N.C.; and Deborah Preston, of Martinsville, Va.; five brothers, Charles (Sheryl) Fountain, of Martinsville, Va.; Lester (Kim) Parker and Corey Parker, of Spring Valley, N.Y.; Morton Sidney Parker, of N.J.; and Phillip Valentine, of Axton, Va.; stepgrandmother, Nancy Valentine, of Axton, Va.; five grandchildren, Imani, Ethan, Ian and Israel Stockton, of Martinsville, Va.; and Kennedi Simmons, of Greensboro, N.C.; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 12:00 noon at Greater Refuge Center Temple of Deliverance with Bishop Albert Hairston, officiating. Burial will follow in the Lampkins Family Cemetery in Axton, Va..
