R. GORDON WHITE, 83, of Pleasant View Avenue, a foreman for Davol Rubber Co. for 30 years, died Saturday at North Bay Manor.
He was the husband of Lenore E. (Nodine) White.
Born in Madison, Maine, he was the son of the late John and Helen (Renwick-Smith) White.
He lived in Greenville for the last 45 years.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a recipient of the Purple Heart.
He was a former member of the Glocester Country Club and the Smithfield Water Board. He was also a member of the Masons and Shriners Palestine Temple.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son and three grandchildren.
