Julia was the daughter of Moses Monroe and Rhoda (Frye) Huitt. She (1) married Calvin Bost, no known children from this union. She later married (2) Daniel W. Moose (Daniel's 2nd wife) in 1868 and they had four children: Martha Belle, Minnie Alva, Moses Huitt and Julian Franklin. Julia died from complications of childbirth the day after Julian was born, at the age of 37.
