Geneva Opal Worley

Geneva Opal Worley,
97,died in Lacy, WA on January 12, 2015.
She was born to Joseph Adam Busby and
Florence Doan (Bobo) Busby on September
2, 1917 in Boynton, OK. She lived her
childhood and received her education in
Oklahoma before coming to California in
1937 to escape the dustbowl and seek work.
She had two older sisters, Audrey and
Delphia and three younger brothers, Kenneth,
James Curtis and Gerald, all preceding her
in death. Two sons, Mickey Eugene and
Kenneth Franklin Worley, survive her.
She was preceded in death by her husband,
J.C. and her son, Robert (Bob).
She is survived by grandchildren, John,
Pam, Steve, Patrick, Laura, Wayne, Deniel
and Todd. She was also loved by great
grandchildren and great, greats too.
Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews,
many of whom were very close to her.
She and J.C. owned a tavern on highway
198 between Visalia and Exeter in the 1940's.
She worked in fields and packing houses.
She worked in child care. She owned a Foster's
Freeze in Fairfield, CA. Always a hard worker,
she generously took care of any in need.
There are few who are more gracious, loving
and giving than she. She was warm, friendly,
hospitable, and fun-loving. She loved dancing,
especially at Visalia Senior Dances,
playing cards, music, singing and gathering
with family and friends. She was independent
and capable. She was a faithful member of
The Berean Christian Church. God blessed her
with a long, full life. We will miss her more
than words can express. Graveside services are
Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 2 o'clock
at the Exeter District Cemetery.
