Barbera Ruth King, 47, of 9444 W. State Road 256, Lexington, died Friday, Sept. 17, 2004, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was born April 1, 1947, in New Albany, the daughter of Dale A. and Winnie Ruth Murphey Huddleston. She was a registered nurse and worked at Scott County Memorial Hospital and Clark County Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church near Hanover.
She is survived by her husband, Earl K. King; two daughters, Jennifer Ann Baker of New Albany and Rachel May Harsin of Lexington; her mother and stepfather, Winnie Ruth and John Mundt of Madison; her father, of Norman; two sisters, Dalene Audrey Cates of Lexington and Genea Rose Smith of Irvington, Ky.; two brothers, Frederick Dale Huddleston of Madison and Kenneth Edmond Huddleston of Centerville, Md.; two grandsons; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cornerstone Baptist Church. Burial will be in Batman Ridge Cemetery in Crawford County.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Cornerstone Baptist Church. Contribution envelopes will be available at the church or at Vail-Holt Funeral Home Hanover Chapel, which is in charge of the arrangements.
