A funeral for Sue L. Gitch will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Pregg, Paxson and Springer Chapel in Beaverton. Mrs. Gitch died of cancer Saturday in her Beaverton home. She was 82.
She was born Jan. 10, 1910, in Minot, N.D. She moved as a young girl to The Dalles and later to Portland, where she attended Jefferson High School. Her maiden name was Jersey. After completing school, she moved to Los Angeles and married Frederick R. Peters there in 1940. He sold his drapery manufacturing plant in 1947, and they moved to Beaverton. Mr. Peters died in 1975.
Mrs. Gitch married Raymond G. Gitch on Aug. 13, 1977. She was a homemaker and active in Beaverton Christian Church during her 45 years as a Beaverton resident.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond; son Ray W. Lynn of Beaverton; brother James Jersey of Aloha; sister, Ruth Belcher of Beaverton; stepsons, Howard and Anthony Gitch of Vancouver, Wash.; stepdaughters, Cheryl Limberg of Gresham and Llona Olinghouse of Portland; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Private burial will be at Crescent Grove Cemetery. The family suggests remembrances be contributions to the American Cancer Society.
