Helen Mae Boswell, 89, of Frederick, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2015. She was the wife of Stephen Boswell, her husband of 69 years.

Born January 28, 1926 in Yellow Springs, she was the daughter of the late Kiefer Vincent and Minnie Mae Stone. She worked for several years in the textile industry near Frederick before being employed by American Optical. She worked there for 20 years as leader of the inspection line. She loved spending time with her great-nephews and great-nieces, and taking long drives to enjoy the autumn leaves.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by a beloved nephew, Donald Stone & wife Linda; a beloved niece, Barbara Fisher & husband Robert; nephews, Stephen, Calvin, Grayson, and David Cannon; and several great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her brother, Norman E. Stone.

A memorial gathering will take place from 7 – 9 PM on Tuesday, March 10th at the Chapel Mausoleum of Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 U.S. Route 15 N in Frederick. Inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Frederick County, P.O. Box 1799, Frederick, MD 21702.
