George J. Foley, 69, lifelong resident of Syracuse's Westside, passed away March 4, 2015. The youngest of three sons born to John and Barbara (Fumich) Foley, he was a graduate of St. Lucy's Academy. He served in the Army National Guard and was previously employed by Niagara Mohawk and Whitehead Metals. He was an avid fan of SU sports, the New York Yankees, and loved golfing with his friends. Everyone who met George instantly loved him. He was predeceased by his parents. Survivors: He is survived by brothers John (Ruth) Foley and Robert (Dolores) Foley; cousins, John (JoAnn) McMahon and James (Rosalie) McMahon; an aunt, Rose Fumich; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and many close friends. Services: 11 a.m. Monday, graveside at St. Mary's Cemetery, 4100 E. Genesee St., DeWitt. Calling hours will be 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Tindall Funeral Home, 1921 W Genesee St, Syracuse, NY.
