(OJ) Oral Steele Johnson our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend passed away March 3, 2015 from a heart attack.
He was born October 26, 1940 in West Bountiful, Utah. Son of Lyman Eugene and Ora May Johnson. He married Colleen Fullmer in September 16, 1960, later sealed in the Salt Lake temple on October 26, 1961. He attended West Bountiful Elementary, Bountiful Jr., Bountiful High School and the University of Utah, where he received his MBA with his CPA certificate. After college he began his professional career as an accountant for Deloitte Haskins & Sells in L. A. California, then transferred to their Salt Lake City office. He worked for Bonneville International then later as the CFO of Intermountain Health Care Therapy Management.
He was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many callings. He loved being with his family, playing golf with his buddies, doing puzzles, reading, music, teaching, and annual trips to Yellowstone. He often referred to himself, "A Ute Man Am I!"
OJ is survived by his wife Colleen, children: Terrie Bertelsen (Kerry), Kristine Nelson, Kimberley Davis (Scott), Jennifer Bush (Paul); eleven grandchildren, 2 great-grand children, brothers: Gene (Joan), and Carl (Sherrie). Preceded in death by parents, two sisters, three brothers, son-in-law Scott Davis and grandson Monte Davis.
The Family expresses thanks to ward members, family, neighbors and friends for their kindness and love over the past 46+ years.
Viewing will be Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main St. in Bntfl. and Saturday morning from 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. at the chapel prior to the funeral. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Woodland Hills Chapel, 750 E. 625 S. Bountiful. Interment at the Bountiful Cemetery.
