Mattie was a wonderful sister, loving mother, and loyal friend. She lived her life to the very fullest all the way to the very end when the Lord called her home. Though she will be deeply missed by all, Heaven is rejoicing to have her. She has gone ahead of us and is now reunited with her mother and father. How happy they must be. There are no words for the emptiness we feel, but we are blessed to have had her in our lives. Until we meet again she will forever be in our hearts and on our minds. Her legacy lives on forever!
Mattie was 60 years old, born August 27, 1954 in Baton Rouge and a native of New Roads all of her life. She died February 27, 2015 at Our Lady of the Lake. She was preceded in death by her mother Robbie Bueche and father Joseph Guy Bueche, Sr. She is survived by her sister Linda Olinde and brother Joseph G. Bueche, Jr., her only child Susan Lorraine Melancon, her only grandchild Candi Ashton Dabadie, and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be Thursday, March 5 at Immaculate Conception in Lakeland from 9:30-12:00 followed by mass at 12:00. Repass following mass in the church hall.
