Wayne Alan Crawford, 62, passed away on February 14, 2015 in Sun City West, AZ after a valiant struggle with cancer with his wife and daughter by his side.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, March 20, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Cloverdale Funeral Home, 1200 N. Cloverdale Rd., Boise. There will be a reception held in Cloverdale Reception Hall following the service.
Wayne was born on June 6, 1952 to Glen E. and Beverly J. (Thomas) Crawford. He attended Pierce Park grade school, Hillside Jr. High and Capital High, graduating in 1970.
The beauty of the Oregon coast lured Wayne to Newport, OR in 1985. There, he began his occupation in the automobile business. Returning to Boise in 1999, he opened his own car lot: Boise City Motors and started investing in rental properties. In 2008 the solitude of the ocean and thrill of the catch lured Wayne and his wife Joyce back to the Oregon Coast, returning to Arizona for the winters.
Wayne is survived by his wife, best friend and advocate: Joyce; daughter Heather; mother Beverly; brother Jim and sister-in-law Diane; aunt and uncle Elaine and Myron Tucker; aunt Bonnie Crawford; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Glen; uncle and aunt Don and Lila Crawford; Uncle Barney Crawford; and beloved grandparents.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Wayne’s honor to: Boise Rescue Mission, P.O. Box 1494, Boise, ID 83701.
