She received her education in Cedar Rapids and Overland Park, Kansas, schools.
On Oct. 5, 1974, Sharon was united in marriage to David Cobb in Overland Park, Kansas. Sharon was employed at Kansas University Medical Center in the Pediatric Unit for 30 years. In recent years, the couple moved to Spirit Lake to make their home. David died Oct. 2, 2014. Sharon was a huge Jayhawks fan, an avid photographer, and loved her dogs, Keiko and Buffy.
Sharon was a member of the Lutheran Church.
Left to cherish Sharon's memory are her son, Jason (Tracy) Cobb; stepchildren, Adam Cobb, Caroline (Ronald) Wagner; four grandchildren, Kirsten Wagner, Ronny Wagner, Ashley Cobb, Andrea Cobb; father, Melvin (Dolores) Book; sister, Barb (Mark) Brown and brother, Scott Book.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, David; infant daughter, Kristen; granddaughter, Allison Cobb; and mother, Darlene Book.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Monday, March 9, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Graettinger. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 10 at Bethel Lutheran Church.
