Lester G. Brubaker, age 86, of Plymouth, died early Friday morning, March 6, 2015 at his home.

Lester was born November 9, 1928 in Lancaster County, PA, the son of the late Jesse A. and Ida H. (Gehman) Brubaker. Lester was a farmer his entire life and was a member of the Chester Mennonite Church in Wooster.

Lester is survived by his wife, Elsie H. (Martin) Brubaker, whom he wed on May 30, 1957. Also surviving are: 7 children: Eugene (Mildred) Brubaker of Kinzer, PA, Ervin (Mary Ellen) Brubaker of Bloomville, OH, Earl (Barbara) Brubaker of Shelby, OH, Mary Ann (Jere) Zimmerman of Narvon, PA, Ray (Joy) Brubaker of Greenwich, OH, John (Susan) Brubaker of Plymouth, OH, Linda (Ross) Martin of Denver, PA; 37 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 2 brothers: Reuben (Leah) Brubaker of Martindale, PA; Emanuel (Judith) Brubaker of Ephrata, PA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: a grandson, Mark R. Brubaker; a great grandson, Scott Garman; 2 brothers: Elvin Brubaker, Elam Brubaker; 4 sisters: Mary Shirk, Edith Shirk, Irene Shirk, and Goldie Brubaker.

Family and friends are welcome on Sunday, March 8, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Woodlawn Mennonite Church, 6940 State Route 13, Greenwich, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 AM at the Chester Mennonite Church, 4730 Rutt Road Wooster, with Bishop Paul Zimmerman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family requests that flowers be omitted. Care for Lester and his family is being provided by Bob, Catherine, and Jake at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby.
