Paul was the second child of Naomi Riddle and O. Edward Torrence. In 1927, he married Louise M. Hartman, who was born on 12 May 1905 in Ia., and at the time of the 1930 Census, they were living with her parents, Christian Hartman (b. 1865, Switzerland) and Catherine Burkhardt (b. 1875, Germany) and near Paul’s parents in Monticello, Jones Co., Ia.
At the time of his father’s death in 1937, Paul and Louise were living in Sterling (Chicago), Il.; and at the time of the 1940 Census, they were living in Chicago, where Paul was a bus driver. He was also employed by the Milwaukee Railroad and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Louise died in Apr 1984 in Monticello, Jones Co., Ia. Paul died at age 85 at the Monticello Senior Home in Ia. His obituary states that he is buried at Oakwood Cemetery in Monticello, Jones Co., Ia. He had no immediate survivors.
