Funeral services for John Steve Kachinski, 67, of Lexington, formerly of Clodine, were scheduled for Thursday morning at Davis-Dawson Funeral Home in Rosenberg, with Father John Boscoe officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A rosary was recited Wednesday at the funeral chapel.
Mr. Kachinski, born July 14, 1920 in Richmond, died in Rockdale Tuesday afternoon after a sudden illness. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the Philippines.
Survivors include a brother, Leon Kachinski of Mobile, Ala.; nieces and nephews, Dorothy Lee Shirley and Lucy Rawls of Houston, Lenora Murden of Mobile, John Kachinski of Missouri City, Jimmy D. Kachinski of Kerrville, and Joseph F. Kachinski of Lexington; and other relatives.
