Eugene Ennis, long a resident of Lambertville, died at a Philadelphia hospital Tuesday morning, June 10, 1930, following a long illness.

He was born in England and was the son of Owen Ennis, who was born in Ireland. His Irish mother was not identified by name. He was married to the late Helen Carswell.

He died at the age of 70 years (or 74 according to his obituary). Henry J. Ennis was the informant on his Pennsylvania death certificate.

He was survived by four sons and four daughters; Henry, Joseph and Edward, of Philadelphia, James P. of Lambertville, Mrs. Theodore Ritchie of Philadelphia, Miss Rose Ennis of Philadelphia, Miss Christine Ennis of Philadelphia and Mrs. Adelbert Hunt of Flemington.

His obituary was published in the Hunterdon County Democrat on June 19, 1930.
