GALVESTON — Kristen Anet Sanchez, 20, of Galveston died Saturday, April 26, 2008, at Mainland Center Hospital in Texas City as a result of an auto accident. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston with the Reverends, Jade Dekalaita, Rockwell Aguilar, and O.J. Herring officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Galveston under the direction of Carnes Brothers Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a prayer service to be held at 7 p.m.

Kristen was born April 11, 1988, in Texas City to Ronnie Sanchez and Sandra Bozant Sanchez. She graduated from Ball High School with the class of 2006. Kristen was an honor student and was currently enrolled at Galveston Community College while working as a manager at the Seawall Sonic Restaurant. She was a member of the Abundant Life Christian Center in La Marque. She loved to sing and had recorded music. She was an artist and very proficient in many types of art work. She sang in the Ball High Choir and loved to dance and enjoyed choreographing and designing performances. She loved photography and enjoyed taking many people’s pictures. She was a goodhearted person who helped everyone around her. She was a cat lover who was devoted to the care of “Oscar and Niecie”. Kristen was a very health conscious person who really enjoyed working out.

Survivors include her father, Ronnie Sanchez of Texas City; mother Sandra Bozant Sanchez of Galveston; brothers Rockwell Aguilar and wife Kelly of Dickinson, and Anthony Sanchez of Texas City; grandmothers Jenny Bozant Rider of Galveston, and Julia Sanchez of La Marque; grandfather Armand J. Bozant of Galveston; aunts Jenny Nicar, Elizabeth Wier, Arleen Davenport, Anita Sanchez, Anet Sanchez, and Yvonne Sanchez; uncle, Simon Sanchez; boyfriend Uvaldo Rodriguez; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Pallbearers are Damian Lopez, John Vasquez, Uvaldo Rodriguez, Shawn Sholmire, Allen Mull, and Joey Dekalaita. Honorary pallbearers are George Maceo, Sammie Maceo, Blake Nicar, Lance Sholmire, Brandon Riggs, Garret Aguilar, and Richard Riggs, Jr.
