Anita Eileen Herring, 72, of Amarillo died Thursday, March 5, 2015.

Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Burial will follow in Jericho Cemetery near Groom. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Anita was born Jan. 8, 1943, in Pampa to Lloyd and Nita Stamps. She married Doyle Herring on Aug. 8, 1964, in Amarillo.

Anita was a homemaker and had worked for Hilton Inn. She organized and managed multiple banquets. Anita was a member of Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Scooter and Dewayne Stamps.

Survivors include her husband, Doyle Herring of the home; a son, Philip Herring, of Amarillo; three daughters, Tina Slater and husband Toby of Canyon, Wilma Sue Sanders and husband Tim of Divide, Colo., and Kae Pinkston and husband Donnie of Monrovia, Calif.; and five grandchildren, Karyn Sanders and Kaila Sanders, both of Colorado, Cody Slater of Worcester, Mass., and Thayne and Clay Slater of Canyon.
