Mrs. Karen Sue Combs of Fayetteville, N.C. died March 8, at Duke Medical Center. The 26 year old Mrs. Combs was a native of Lee County.
She is survived by her husband Robert H. Combs; her mother, Mrs. Madge Cockerham; one sister, Miss Deborah Anne Cockerham; one brother, Samuel Terrance Cockerham; and her paternal grandmother Mrs. Emma Cockerham.
Funeral services were held March 12, at the Beattyville Christian Church with the Rev. Jerry Ginnan and Rev. George Randolph presiding. The Newnam Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Evans Crossing in Campton.
