Born in Austin County Texas to William & Marie Adlof, he married June Pankey Johnson.

Mr. Adlof was born in Austin County, Texas to Mr. and Mrs. William Adlof and moved to Sherman, Texas in 1901. Adlof a cement and building contractor for more than 40 years, died at a local hospital in Sherman.

He was married to Miss Ella Paine of Springfield, Kentucky in 1902. She died in 1944 and Mr. Adlof married Mrs. June Pankey in 1945.

Mr. Adlof served as a Deacon of Trinity United Presbyterian Church, Monahans, Texas, where he was a member for over 20 years. He was a Modern Woodman of America for more than 50 years.

Survivors are his wife June; a son, Herman Hugo Adlof Jr. of Sherman; a daughter, Mrs. Ellen Bollinger of Downey, California; a brother, G.M. Adlof of Kansas City, Kansas; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Memorial service was held at Dannel Funeral Chapel, conducted by Rev. Fred Ryle Jr., minister of First United Presbyterian Church of Monahans.
