Mr. Estalee "Buddy" "Blackie" Taylor, Jr. passed away at his home after a long illness. He was employed at King Edward Cigar for many years, a member of Hoseanna Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, and Big Swamp Hunting Club. Mr. Taylor had accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and enjoyed attending church and reading his Bible. He was most appreciative of many prayers on his behalf during his illness. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Estalee & Grace Westberry Taylor, Sr.

Memorialization was by cremation, with the memorial service conducted at his church.

"Buddy" " Blackie" Estalee Taylor, Jr, 67, died Monday (Jan. 31, 2011) at his residence following an extended illness.

He was a native and life-long resident of Ware County; he was the son of the late Estalee Taylor, Sr and Grace Westberry Taylor.

He had been employed as a mechanic with King Edward Cigar for many years before becoming disabled. He was a member of Hoseanna Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. He was a member of Big Swamp Hunting Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing and just being outdoors. Since accepting the Lord as his personal savior Blackie enjoyed nothing more than attend church, spending time reading his Bible and having different people lift him up in prayer.

Survivors include his wife of forty-seven years, Carolyn Guy Taylor of Waycross; a daughter, Tammy Morgan (husband Jeff) of Brunswick; a son Dennie Taylor (wife Tina) of Waycross; two grandchildren, Leslie White Finn (husband Sean) of Savannah, and Jacob Taylor of Waycross; a brother, Cecil Taylor (wife Lou) of Waycross; a sister, Ruby Taylor of Waynesville; an aunt, Lydia Johnson of Alma, numerous nieces, nephews , other relatives and special friends, Sylvester Altman and Buck Johnson.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday (Feb. 2, 2011) at Hoseanna Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. Memorialization will be by cremation. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday night at Music Funeral Home. Members of the Big Swamp hunting Club are asked to gather at the church at 2:40 PM Wednesday to serve as honorary pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to Hospice Satilla, 808 Evergreen Way, Waycross, GA 31501.
