Born Jan. 9, 1912, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Stanton J. and Bertha (Farthing) Lee. On Oct. 8, 1933, she married William C. John, and he died Aug. 18, 1995.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. John was a member of Manilla Christian Church, Happy Homemakers Extension Club, Homemakers Social Study Club, Shelby County Farm Bureau and the Shelby County Historical Society.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. William (Carolyn) Statler, Scotia, N.Y., Mrs. Lynn (Mary Kay) Pitts, Shelbyville, and Mrs. Robert (Barbara) Rogers, Indianapolis; a half-brother, Harold Lee, Indianapolis; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Carmony-Ewing Broadway Funeral Home with the Rev. James Farnsley officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
