Sheila L. Pratt, age 73 of Dayton and formerly of Big Stone Gap, Va, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Sycamore Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Pratt, in 2005. She is survived by her children: Susan Gilbert and husband Tom of SC, David Pratt of Dayton and Robert Pratt and wife Michelle Cunningham of NY. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Bryan, Michael, Kayla and Megan Gilbert and Amanda and Emily Pratt. Sheila was a 1959 graduate of Fairmont High School and earned her degree in Education from Otterbein College in 1964. She taught in Fairborn City Schools for three years and was later a kindergarten teacher at Merrie Time for 10 years and the preschool director at Forest Ridge Baptist Church for five years. She was a charter member of East Dayton Baptist Church, where she used her talents to serve in many areas.
