Services for David Richard "Dick" Inman Jr, 89, formerly of Atlanta, are at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville.
Father David Koetter from St. Augustine Catholic Church will officiate.
Dick was born on Nov. 8, 1925 in Docena, Ala., to David Richard and Ella Mae Inman. After serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps in the Pacific during World War II he attended The University of Alabama and The American Academy of Art in Chicago.
Dick enjoyed a long career as an advertising illustrator and was best known in his later years for his beautiful oil paintings. He and his wife Cindy are both fine artists.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy; daughter, Marianne and husband Guy Ellis; Dick's grandson, Chris and his wife Amanda Ellis, their children Topher, Liam and Piper, Dick's granddaughter Karen McNamara and husband Andrew, son David and wife Alice, daughter Karen and husband Tom Annexstad, their children Shane, Kaci and Blake, son Michael and his children Riley and Colin, and daughter Marie. Dick's sisters Mary Ann, Jacolyn and Joyce, their spouses and their children, grandchildren and numerous other living relatives and loving friends.
