She was born on March 10, 1903, in Holmesville, N.B., Canada, the daughter of Nathaniel and Minnie (Kinney) Woodard. She attended the Beechwood school in Birch Ridge, N.B. and was married to James H. Burtchell on Dec. 26, 1920.
Mrs. Burtchell was a 38 year resident of Fort Fairfield and also made her home in New York and Florida. She returned to Perth Andover in 1967. Mrs. Burtchell was a homemaker and a companion to several ladies in need.
In addition to her husband of 38 years, James H. Burthcell, Annie was predeceased by one son, Max Woodard Burtchell; two brothers, Archie and Cecil Woodard; two sisters, Ruby Bell and Verna Canavan; one grandson, Gregory Walker.
She is survived by three daughters....; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-step-grandchildren; three nieces and nephews.
Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, 1999, at the Dorsey Funeral Home, 44 Lower Main St., Fort Fairfield. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, 1999, at Dorsey Funeral Home with Pastor Darrell Feltmate officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield.
