Rosemarie ‘Rosie’ Berry of Noel, Missouri passed away on Saturday February 28, 2015 at Freeman Hospital in Neosho, Missouri, after a long illness. She was 68.

Rosie was born on Jun 21, 1947 to Striley and Mildred (Vance) Berry.

Rosie lived in Elk Springs, MO most of her life where she was a tour guide at the Ozark Wonder Cave at Witt’s Resort. Although the resort closed down, she could still take you on an amazing virtual tour of the cave anytime with her stories. One of her most prized possessions was a personalized autographed photo of actor Lee Majors who visited the resort and toured the cave with her. Rosie loved to talk to about the many famous people she met who had visited the resort. She never met a stranger; she loved to talk to everyone.

Rosie enjoyed traveling and she could tell you where almost any road in McDonald County went. “Let’s see where this goes.” was her motto. She is, no doubt, at this very moment exploring the far corners of heaven. The most amazing thing about her was that she had a knack for knowing when any of her friends needed help; she’d call and offer a hand to everyone who needed it and they’d be left shaking their heads wondering just how she knew. Growing flowers and vegetables was another passion of Rosie’s and she excelled in both quality and quantity in the tiny gardens beside her apartment. Rosie also loved animals, particularly cats and dogs of which over the years, she had many. The birdfeeders at her neighbor’s was something she enjoyed watching, she could tell you just about anything about any of the birds that frequented the front yard and had an ability to mimic their calls. She always looked forward to family dinners of stir fry, wontons and egg rolls and watching Chuck Norris movies with as many kids as she could squeeze into the recliner with her.

She is survived by her brother, Glenn Berry and wife, Sharon of Rogers, Arkansas; a niece Carlotta Spillers and husband, Christopher; a nephew Greg Berry; great niece Briana Berry; her much-loved cat, Ginger, best friend Donna Farmer who checked on her every day and a host of good friends and neighbors who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Striley and Mildred Berry grandparents and by her good friend and caretaker Nancy Zeorlin.

Visitation will be Friday March 6, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri with services to follow at 3:00 p.m. Rosie will be buried beside her beloved mother in the Anderson Cemetery, Anderson Missouri.
