He was born Feb. 8, 1871, a son of James and Caroline Miller Olsen. He had attended the schools in Mt. Pleasant and was a farmer. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a member of the High Priests quorum. He served faithfully as a ward visiting teacher. He had lived for several years at Chester. His first wife, Hulda Ramstrom Olsen died years ago.
Surviving is his widow, Mrs. Charlotte Olsen. A twin brother George Olsen, recently died. Also surviving are the following children; George, Douglas, Mrs. Anna Waller; Elmer Olsen, and Mrs. Mable Walsh .; two stepchildren; Mrs. Melba Lancaster , and Harold Garlick, and 12 grandchildren.
