Elizabeth was born to her parents James and Ruth Young on April 21, 1927 in Portland, Oregon. She received her Bachelor’s degree in art, and spent much of her life as a piano teacher and a home maker. Elizabeth enjoyed mountain climbing, teaching piano, art, and she also played the French horn in the Seattle Philharmonic and the Vancouver Symphony. She has been a resident of Washougal for the past 30 years. She loved the Word of God and sharing her faith in Christ.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband of 64 years, Lowell Hart, her children Laurie Dalen, Robyn Smith, Meryl Hart, Brian Hart, and Deanna Hart, her sister Sarah Young, as well as 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A graveside service and burial will be held at Willamette National Cemetery on Monday, February 9, and a celebration of Elizabeth’s life will take place on February 21, at 1 PM at Trinity Bible Church in Portland, Oregon. Arrangements are under the care of Brown’s Funeral Home in Camas.
