He attended Covenant College from 1972-1976 and was a member of Chattanooga Valley Presbyterian Church.
Howard was preceded in death by his father, Howard Theodore Cross, Sr. and several uncles.
Survivors include his loving mother, Virginia Reynolds Cross of Ringgold, cousin, Earl (Selah) Cross and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 17, at Forest Hills Cemetery in St. Elmo with Rev. Joe Novenson officiating.
