Roger Horton age 75, of Berryville, AR passed away Thursday January 29, 2015. He was born October 15, 1939 in Oak Grove, AR to the late Thomas Franklin Horton and Earsley Alemeda (Rogers) Horton.
Roger grew up in the Oak Grove area and remained there the rest of his life. On January 11, 1961 he met and married Louise Barbara Smith. Together they operated their dairy farm outside of Blue Eye. Roger was a hard worker and in his free time he enjoyed mechanic work. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of Highview Assembly Of God Church in Lampe, MO.
Roger is survived by his sons, Clinton Keith Horton and wife Judy of Green Forest and Harvey Gene Horton and wife Cindy of Lampe, sister, Patsy Keys of Harrison, one brother, Jack Horton and wife Freda of Green Forest, grandchildren, Keith Horton, Shelby Alexander and husband Cody, Emberly Horton, Jazlin Horton, Samantha Horton, Tessa Horton one great-granddaughter, Addison Alexandra, sisters-in-law, June Horton and Wanda Horton and brother-in-law, James Delong.
Besides his parents he is also preceded in death by his wife, Louise Barbara Horton, two brothers, Doyle and Roy Horton, one sister, Wilma Delong as well as one brother-in-law, Lee Keys.
Celebration Of Life Service will be 2:00 PM Monday, February 2, 2015 at Highview Assembly Of God Church in Lampe, MO with pastor Roger Ely officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Eye Cemetery. Visitation time will be 1:00-2:00 PM on the day of the service February 2nd.
