Cheyenne Dale Burton, 17, of Wilmington died Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Miami Valley Hospital.
She was born July 30, 1997 in Dayton, daughter of Tonia Bahl Burton of Wilmington and Roger Dale Burton II of Wilmington.
Cheyenne was a junior at Clinton-Massie High School, where she was a varsity cheerleader and member of the track team. She was a member of the Ohio Army National Guard. She attended Fellowship of Praise and volunteered at Cedar Village Retirement Community. She was an avid runner.
In addition to her mother and father, Cheyenne is survived by two sisters, Sierra Burton of Wilmington and Leah Burton of Wilmington; grandparents, William "Bill" (Mikki) Bahl of Wilmington, Mary Sue (Robert) Chapman of Dayton, Roger Dale (Valerie) Burton of Bellbrook, and Wanda Sue (Ron) Roudebush of Fayetteville; an uncle, William "Mike" (Mindy) Bahl; as well as several other aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 7 at the Fellowship of Praise Church, 8625 U.S. 22, Clarksville. Burial will be in Valley View Memorial Gardens, Xenia. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 6 at the Fellowship of Praise Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Red Cross, P.O. Box 4002018, Des Moines, IA 50340-2018.
