Jacklyn "Jackie" Anderson, 60, a resident of Sedro-Woolley, went to be with her Lord & Savior on Friday, January 3, 2014 at United General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Jackie was born on November 3, 1953 in Bellingham, WA the daughter of Jack & Joyce (Peltier) Robinson. She spent most of her childhood in Bellingham, while residing briefly during those childhood years in Seattle, WA and Oakland and Imperial Beach, California.

During those childhood years, her Christian upbringing; her involvement in the care of her father while MS slowly took him; her mother's work ethic and the closeness of family served to forge the character that was uniquely Jackie.

Jackie was first married while living in Bellingham and from that union her two children, Tammy & Tommy were born.

She later moved to Sedro-Woolley where after working several places, she took the position for which she is best known by many, as the manager of Sparkle Shop Laundries and Cleaners in Sedro-Woolley.

On September 25, 1999 she was united in marriage to Roger Anderson and together they have made their home in Sedro-Woolley.

She was devoted to her children and grandchildren, near & far; family was always first.

She thoroughly enjoyed her work, those she worked with and all of the customers.

Jackie loved to travel whenever possible; she loved to cook for family and friends on holidays, at picnics, barbeques, and Big Lake get-togethers. As an avid quilter, she spent many hours with her friend, Mary, quilting. Fishing was a major part of Roger & Jackie's recreation, often with family and most recently with special family fishing partners Pete & Pam.

She is survived by her husband, Roger, and her little four legged buddy, Brewster at the family home in Sedro-Woolley, WA; her children and their spouses, Tammy & Bill Roberts, and Tommy Poirier of Sedro-Woolley, WA, Tracy and Brian Ladyman of Sammamish, WA, Erica & Mark Mills of West Bloomfield, MI, and Anker & Jennifer Anderson of Lyman, WA. Ten grandchildren, Bennet & Greta Ladyman, Alex & Cecily Mills, Ava & Logan Anderson, and Kassey, Korry, Mariah and Marshall Martinson; her mother, Joyce Whipkey of Bellingham, WA; her mother-in-law, Juanita Anderson of Oak Harbor, WA; two sisters, Rozann Arena and her husband John of Brooklyn, NY and Joann Benkendorf of Anacortes, WA; her brother, Darrell Whipkey and his wife Shawna of Ferndale, WA, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Robinson.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Mathey, his associates and staff at North Puget Cancer Care Center for their professionalism, their relentless efforts and their kindness during Jackie's long journey there.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Lemley Chapel in Sedro-Woolley with Pastor Tim Forthun of the Life Fellowship Church in Burlington officiating. Visitation will be available on Thursday, January 9th from 12 noon to 5pm and on Friday, January 10th from 12 noon to 7 pm. The family suggests that memorials be made to North Puget Cancer Care at United General Hospital or the Skagit County Humane Society.

Floral arrangements are requested to be sent to the funeral home for services.
