Joshua A. Westgate-Morris, age 19, passed away unexpectedly Monday, August 18, 2014.
Born in New Bedford, a son of Patricia (Westgate) Dancosse of New Bedford and Frank Morris of Gloucester, RI, he was a life-long resident of the area.
Josh enjoyed skateboarding and loved listening to music and playing his drums. He once performed with the Singing State Trooper. Josh was a kind and sensitive soul and a doting, loving father to his daughter, Emma.
Besides his mother and father survivors include: his daughter; maternal grandmother, Lillian Westgate; three brothers; his half-sister; girlfriend; step-father; step-grandmother; two stepbrothers; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was also grandson of the late Roger Westgate, Sr., Irene Batt and Frank Morris, Sr.
Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service Monday, August 25, 2014 at 12 PM in the ROCK Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Acushnet Cemetery.
